Job Summary
The suitable candidate should be able to provide HSE support and expertise to the rig, supervise rig site operation safety, ensure the safe and effective implementation of the HSE management system, assist safety engineers to handle other management issues of the company, and the rig, will be responsible for training Ugandan employees in safety awareness and safety skills and timely stop unsafe behavior and ensure that they are not harmed to the greatest extent.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for bringing forward on safety items during operations before and after the shift in special operation areas set the warning sign
- Responsible for organizing weekly safety meeting summing up past week’s safety work, analyzing the encountered problems offering resolve methods and precautionary steps, supervising safety work implement, planning next week’s safety work and recording.
- Responsible for organizing staff HSE training, attending monthly safety management meetings, reporting phase safety work, talking about the questions and setting ways adopted in the reports, and fill in the periodic safety record report required by
- Responsible for inspecting the safety equipment and well control As fire extinguishers, fire fight pumps, fire fight hose, SCBA, escape unite, fall protection unit ,H2S alarming, shower and eye wash unit , safety harness all kinds of safety sign boards, BOP, up and down Kelly cock, back pressure valve, safety valve , port fire, ram cores , annular element, pressure test tools, special tools for B.O.P, hydraulic control unit, hydraulic control pipes, air control console, choke and kill manifold, M/G separator etc.
- Assist HSE management and training specialists to organize H2S drill, BOP dill, firefighting drill and recording as required.
- Responsible for auditing of the site work permit, supervisor in accordance with the JSA/WI requirements high risk operations must be onsite
- Responsible for preparing daily fire facilities, supervision personnel in strict
- accordance with fire requirements to ensure fire safety.
- According to the appropriate procedures to monitor and manage environment protection
- Responsible for preparing the site work permit, supervisor rig crews health inspection, ensure that each one will be in good working
- Responsible for orientation and registration of visitors and new employees on rig site, Responsible for the reception and managing to foreign employees and other foreigners’ safety
- Establish PO3 and Tcard system to make sure all personnel on board are accounted for in case of emergency.
- Keepfile, update and submit records, reports and other HSE related documents

Job Requirements
- College degree or above
- Understand and apply company QHSE management system,lead or participate in land rig accident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Atleast 1 year HSE management experience on offshore platforms or land Rigs
- Integrity,decent,honest and self discipline
- Strong organizational and coordination ability,execution ability,communication ability and expression ability
- Master the relevant management system and relevant laws and regulations implemented by this position.
- Have strong professional knowledge and management ability.
