Company Description
Petro services Ltd was founded by Engineer Halid Mwima Mulongo in 1992. He was a mechanical engineer by training and profession. He spent over 25 years working for Shell Uganda Limited.
Mr. H.M. Mulongo held various positions in his extensive career including Aviation Manager, a position he held early on into his career with Shell & BP Uganda Limited.
Towards the end of his career with Shell in 1992, when he was the head of the Petroleum equipment Maintenance and Installation engineering department, Shell Uganda Limited decided to contract out the maintenance and repair operations of its petroleum equipment installations. This is when Mr. Mulongo seized the opportunity he was presented with and retired from Shell Uganda Ltd to form Petro Services Ltd contracted with carrying out maintenance and repair of Shell Uganda Ltd.’s equipment and installations throughout Uganda. At the time of its inception, there did not exist a company like Petro services Ltd specializing in petroleum equipment maintenance and repair in Uganda.
