Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Mondays Hope Medical Centre – Senene, Mpigi

Application Deadline: 13th March 2026

Employment Type: Full Time

Academic Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Professional Qualifications: 

  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. ∙ CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an added advantage

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary healthcare or  outpatient care.

  • Prior experience with patient assessment, wound care, and health education.

Special Skills Needed: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Dedicated, compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and record medical histories.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.

  • Monitor and observe patient progress and report any changes to the medical team. ∙ Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety standards.

  • Participate in health promotion and community outreach programs.

  • Support the implementation of clinic policies and procedures.
