  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to think critically, engage in discussions, and solve problems effectively.
  • Use a range of formative and summative assessment techniques to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the extracurricular programme by providing business-related enrichment activities and supporting business-related student initiatives.
  • Support students in their personal, academic, and career development, providing guidance on university choices and business career pathways.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with other teachers within the department and across the school to ensure consistency and coherence in student learning.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, meetings, and professional development programmes.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is highly desirable).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Business Studies, ideally within an international school setting.
  • Experience teaching both the UK National Curriculum and IB DP Business Management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the business environment, economic principles, and international business trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Personal Qualities

  • A professional, approachable, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of students and the school.
  • A commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
