Job Title: Senior Assessment Officer – Agriculture Education and Training (TET & VET)
Salary Scale: UVTAB 4
Division: Division of TVET Assessment
Reports to: Principal Assessment Officer
Responsible for: Assessment Officer – Agriculture Education and Training (TET)
Job Purpose:
To implement assessment management and administration plans and programs for all the Agricultural Education and Training fields assessed within UVTAB.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervising the development, moderation, typing, and proofreading of test items in the Agricultural Education and Training fields assessed within UVTAB, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Participating in the development of assessment syllabi, tools, manuals, and guidelines in the Agricultural Education and Training fields assessed within UVTAB.

Participating in verification of continuous assessment marks/results of candidates in the Agricultural Education and Training fields assessed within UVTAB.

Ensuring timely preparation and development of unit work plans, budgets, and activity progress reports.

Providing necessary information for analyzing and developing policy, manuals, standards, examination timetables, and circulars for all Agricultural Education and Training fields assessed within UVTAB.

Providing technical input in the registration process of candidates (verification and enrollment) and actively participating in marking exercises.

Maintaining and updating the database of academic programs.

Participating in the preparation and implementation of registration, supervision, and marking of assessments.

Coordinating and preparing for awards meetings.
Person Specifications:
a) Qualifications:
-
An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Crop Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Land Use and Management, or Vocational Studies in Agriculture from a recognized institution.

A Master’s Degree in any of the above from a recognized University/Institution.
b) Experience:

At least three (3) years at officer level in a training institution.
