Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts that exist in Butaleja District Local Government.

Applications MUST be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008), and addressed to the Secretary, Butaleja District Local Government, P.O. Box 1, Butaleja, to be received not later than Friday 24th April, 2026, 5:00 pm. The application forms can be obtained from any District Service Commission Offices or Public Service Commission Offices, Farmers House 2nd floor, Kampala or from Public Service Commission website, www.psc.go.ug.
The applications should bear the Title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy. Applicants must attach verified O&A-level Documents by UNEB and Certified photocopies of all Academic Certificates and Transcripts, Registration Certificates. For Health Applicants include a valid Certified Practicing Licence, a photocopy of the National Identity card, Curriculum Vita, three (3) recent colored passport photographs and any other relevant documents like Appointment and Confirmation letters for serving officers. Only qualifications from recognized institutions will be considered. Serving officers must route their applications through their responsible officers who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay and should not have reached the mandatory retirement age of 60 years. The applicants who are not currently in the civil service should be below the age of 50 years. Applicants who will not hear from us on conclusion of the selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful. For all posts, women, persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose
To ensure delivery of effective and efficient health services in the Unit and the lower Health Centers.
Key Outputs
- Plans and budget for Health Service delivery prepared
- Accountability for allocated medical, fiscal and other resources made
- Patients diagnosed and treated
- Health information management systems supervised
- Medicines, equipment, and other supplies procured
- Supervision, Staff Performance Appraisal and other HRM functions carried out
- Implementation of the Uganda National Minimum Health Care Package coordinated
- National Health Service delivery standards adhered to
- Technical guidance and support supervision to Health Centers provided
- Occupational Health and Safety at workplace ensured
- Health Centre equipment maintained
- Periodic reports prepared and submitted to relevant authorities
- Continuous Professional Development programmes prepared and implemented
- Professional and Service Codes of Conduct and Ethics enforced
Key Functions
- Planning and budgeting for health services delivery in the Health Centre
- Managing and accounting for allocated medical, fiscal and other resources
- Diagnosing, treating and managing patients
- Managing health information management systems at the HC IV
- Coordinating the procurement of equipment, drugs and other supplies for the Health Centre
- Carrying out supervision, staff performance appraisal and other HRM functions
- Coordinating the implementation of the Uganda National Minimum Health Care Package in the Health Centre
- Providing guidelines and enforcing adherence to health service delivery standards
- Providing technical guidance and supervision to Health Centers
- Overseeing the operationalisation of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Guidelines in the Health Centre
- Ensuring regular maintenance and functioning of the Health Centre equipment
- Preparing and submitting periodic reports
- Coordinating the provision of Continuous Professional Development

Person Specifications
Qualifications
- Must have MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
- Must be registered and licensed with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
- Post graduate qualification in Health Service Management or Public Administration and Management is an added advantage
