Job Description

 Position Senior Technician, Department of Physiology
 Closing Date 2026-09-14 00:00:00
 Reporting To Head of Department
 Key Duties & Responsibilities 1.    Ensure harmonious working relationships amongst staff under his/her care;

2.    Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities;

3.    Maintain financial and other resources in the course of duty;

4.    Participate in research & consultancy;

5.    Compile reports and inventories;

6.    Prepare and supervise students’ practicals;

7.    Maintain guidelines & regulations to ensure quality control and safety in the workplace;

8.    Induct and mentor support staff in technical skills;

9.    Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department
 Required Qualifications                      i.        Master of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and Management or related discipline;

ii.        At least an upper second Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology.
 Experience At least 5 years working experience in Laboratory work
 Skills/Competences                      i.        Ability to handle clients in a courteous manner

ii.        Interpersonal skills and team work

iii.        Ability to communicate precisely

iv.        Analytical skills

v.        Proficiency in using machines and computers

vi.        Time management

vii.        Concern for safety
 Tenure of Appointment 4-year contract
 Age Limit APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FIFTY FIVE (55) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION
