Job Description
TUMU Medical Institute- One of the leading Nursing and Midwifery Schools in Uganda, invites applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the following positions:
1. DEPUTY PRINCIPAL
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration and management of the Institute
- Oversee academic programs and ensure quality training standards are maintained
- Supervise staff performance and support professional development initiatives
- Coordinate institutional planning, reporting, and compliance with regulatory bodies
- Act on behalf of the Principal in their absence
- Lead a team of Tutors/Trainers in delivery of quality health education
- Teach allocated subjects as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Education from a recognized institution
- Proven teaching experience in a health training institution (minimum of 3 years preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Must be a team player and ready to work in a rural environment
