ShareCARD Limited is a female-founded data intelligence and technology company based in Kampala, Uganda. Founded in 2022, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enterprise specializes in building advanced digital tracking systems to help organizations manage field data. The platform is designed to provide complete, last-mile visibility for institutions, allowing them to move away from error-prone paper workflows and embrace secure, automated project monitoring.
The platform was originally conceived in 2020 during the global COVID-19 lockdown to solve a severe humanitarian bottleneck. Its initial pilot, known as PadSHARE, was created to provide marginalized young girls in the Kisenyi slums with decentralized, remote access to essential menstrual hygiene products. This innovative system allowed volunteers to securely verify that aid packages were successfully received, an achievement that went on to win the top prize at the prestigious 1st EU Global Hackathon.
The current ecosystem functions through three integrated components: the ShareCARD user node, the ShareAgent mobile app, and a centralized administrative dashboard. The software is engineered to operate seamlessly in remote, underserved areas, using automated forms that work efficiently offline even on low-bandwidth 2G networks. To support broader national financial inclusion and digital infrastructure growth, the startup actively collaborates on open innovation models alongside state agencies like NITA-Uganda and private institutions like Housing Finance Bank.
