Job Description
Our rapidly growing firm is looking for an Access to Finance Analyst with at least 3 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of best practices in fund management to coordinate strategic financial planning for the firm and its clients.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial condition.
- Study industry-specific business trends and research data.
- Write data-backed reports to support the management team in making strategic business decisions.
- Develop financial models that forecast business outcomes and profits.
- Measure financial risk associated with investment decisions.
- Prepare documentation to help startups and small businesses in getting funds.
- Explore, assess, and identify appropriate financing providers and opportunities.
- Participate in building partnerships to promote access to finance and collaborate with commercial and non-commercial partners.
- Coordinate the roll-out of training and capacity-building program.
- Develop innovative ideas/concepts that increase the uptake of financial services by rural communities, including farmers and SMEs.
- Identify and/or develop required financial tools and methodological approaches and provide technical assistance and training/capacity building to ensure activity interventions achieve or surpass established objectives.
- Facilitate the financial literacy and education of the selected SMEs.
- Contribute to data monitoring and management systems to ensure quality in implementation.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a second-class (upper) degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Commerce from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Previous experience in financial services or the banking sector is a valuable asset.
- Strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth, with an eagerness to explore diverse industries and tackle complex business issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for acquiring new knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and achieve results.
- Team player with effective collaboration skills.
- A solid grasp of business concepts and proficiency in business intelligence tools.
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
- Enthusiasm for solving intricate strategic and financial problems.
