Job Description
Exquisite Solution Limited is recruiting a Visa Specialist for a client in the telecommunications sector. The role is responsible for managing visas, work permits, residence permits, and other immigration-related processes for local and Chinese employees in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Uganda Immigration Department, Ministry of Labour, and consulates on visa and work permit applications.
- Collect, verify, prepare, and submit immigration documents in compliance with Uganda regulations.
- Track application status, follow up with authorities, and resolve visa and work permit issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of visa applications, approvals, renewals, expiries, and supporting documents.
- Monitor changes in Uganda immigration laws and update internal stakeholders on compliance requirements.
- Ensure employees hold valid visas and work permits to support compliant travel and workforce mobility.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure timely processing of immigration matters.
- Use Microsoft Office and administrative systems effectively while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail under pressure.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in visa processing, immigration affairs, or HR administration.
- Prior experience handling Uganda and/or Africa visa processes is preferred.
- Experience in immigration, foreign affairs, or HR administration is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of immigration procedures, visa requirements, and documentation processes.
