Job Description

MTI-Uganda operates in the West Nile, Northern and Southwestern regions, as well as Transit Centres, delivering Comprehensive Primary Health Care, Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, and Nutrition services to forcibly displaced persons, stateless persons, and host communities.

Medical Teams International upholds strict child and vulnerable adult safeguarding standards and maintains zero tolerance for Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, or Abuse.

As part of epidemic preparedness and emergency response efforts, MTI-Uganda seeks to recruit qualified, committed, and immediately available candidates to support critical frontline functions.

Contract Duration: Short-term emergency deployment (initial duration to be confirmed based on response needs).

Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Number of Vacancies: 5

Organization: Medical Teams International – Uganda

Duty Stations:

  • MTI Southwest Region
  • MTI West Nile Region
Job Purpose

Support emergency health response activities by providing laboratory services within MTI-supported health facilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Advanced Certificate in Medical Laboratory Techniques.
  • Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
  • Valid Practicing License.
Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with an international NGO is an added advantage.
Eligibility
  • Meet the required qualifications, experience and skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-risk emergency public health setting.
