Job Title: Field Based Account Manager – LPG

Reports To: LPG Sales Team Leader

Job Summary

The Field Based Account Manager – LPG is responsible for driving profitable business growth by acquiring new customers, retaining existing accounts, and strengthening customer and distributor relationships within the LPG business. The role focuses on growing sales volumes, expanding distributor and branded reseller networks, identifying new market opportunities, and delivering commercial targets in line with the company’s sales strategy while ensuring compliance with HSSE standards and business policies.

Key Deliverables
  • Deliver agreed LPG sales volume, revenue, gross margin, and profitability targets in line with approved business plans.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage LPG customers, distributors, and branded resellers to expand market share and improve business performance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and trade partner relationships through effective account management and regular market engagement.
  • Develop and implement customer and distributor business plans aligned with the company’s channel and commercial strategies.
  • Promote and implement customer value propositions (CVPs) to strengthen customer loyalty, increase profitability, and enhance competitive advantage.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging industry trends to support business growth.
  • Execute sales strategies and commercial initiatives to address performance gaps and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and business opportunities in line with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, distributor databases, sales reports, and performance tracking systems.
  • Monitor distributor performance and drive continuous improvement through regular performance reviews and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSSE standards, ethical business practices, and operational procedures across all customer interactions.
  • Support the implementation of marketing campaigns and commercial initiatives that drive customer acquisition and sales growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in sales, preferably within LPG, energy, FMCG, or a related commercial environment.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
  • Experience developing distributor networks, sales channels, or trade partnerships.
  • Experience in sales planning, market development, and execution of customer value propositions.
  • Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies

  • Primarily field-based with frequent travel to customer locations, distributor sites, and market territories.
  • Regular interaction with customers, distributors, sales teams, and internal business functions.
  • Requires the ability to work independently while managing multiple customer accounts and commercial priorities.
  • Operates in a dynamic, target-driven environment requiring flexibility, responsiveness, and effective time management.
  • Strict adherence to HSSE requirements, company policies, and ethical business practices is mandatory during all field and customer engagements.
