Mbarara Driver – Job Description
About the Role
RamcoGas is seeking a responsible, physically fit, and reliable driver to join their LPG company in Mbarara. The role involves delivering gas cylinders to customers, safely loading and unloading stock, connecting cylinders for clients, and making regular trips to Kampala to collect inventory for the Mbarara operations.
Key Responsibilities

Delivery: Safely drive company trucks to deliver LPG gas cylinders to clients within Mbarara and the surrounding areas.

Loading/Unloading: Load and unload gas cylinders onto and from the delivery truck (must be able to lift heavy cylinders).

Client Setup: Connect and set up gas cylinders for clients when required.

Inventory Transit: Drive to Kampala to collect LPG stock and return it safely to Mbarara.

Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the company vehicle, ensuring it is clean, roadworthy, and well-serviced.

Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Record Keeping: Keep accurate delivery records and report stock movements.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements

Licensing: Valid Ugandan driving license (Class CM or CH preferred).

Experience: Proven experience driving trucks or delivery vehicles.

Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy LPG cylinders safely.

Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.

Attributes: Must be trustworthy, reliable, and punctual.

Safety: Ability to follow safety protocols and handle LPG cylinders responsibly.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly between Mbarara and Kampala.
