Job Description
Human Capital Business Solutions Ltd is a Boutique HR Advisory Firm that specializes in strategic HR Consulting, Talent Acquisition & Development, Risk Management and Business Process Outsourced Services with our Headquarters based in Uganda and Country Office in Tanzania.
On behalf of our client in the Security Sector, we are looking for competent and experienced Armed Crew Members to be based in Jinja
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Number of Positions: Twenty (20)
Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda.
Job Summary: The Armed Crew Member is responsible for providing rapid armed response to security incidents to protect company personnel, assets, and property. The role involves responding to emergencies, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, supporting static security operations during high-risk situations, providing armed escort services, and maintaining operational readiness of firearms and security equipment. The Armed Crew Member also assists in securing incident scenes, observing and reporting security threats, and supporting lawful enforcement activities while ensuring compliance with company security procedures, legal requirements, and established operational standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to security emergencies.
- Protect company personnel and assets.
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols.
- Support static guards during high-risk incidents.
- Secure crime scenes until investigators arrive.
- Assist during searches, arrests, and suspect apprehension where legally authorised.
- Provide armed escort services.
- Maintain operational readiness of firearms and equipment.
- Observe and report security threats
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant service experience.
- Former Uganda Police Force (UPF) member.
- Firearms handling certification and operational experience.
- Between 30 and 50 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Good physical fitness.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good disciplinary record.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
