Kampala Medical Chambers Hospital (KMCH) is a leading private general healthcare facility in Uganda dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered medical services. The institution began its operations in 1997 as a specialized outpatient consultation clinic. In 2014, the facility achieved a major structural milestone by expanding from a basic clinic into a fully-fledged hospital. The modern six-story facility houses advanced clinical infrastructure engineered to handle both outpatient and critical inpatient needs. For high-dependency cases, KMCH is equipped with a two-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), four advanced neonatal care incubators, two delivery rooms, and two state-of-the-art operating theatres designed for complex surgical procedures. This technical capacity is supported by a comprehensive histopathology laboratory, digital ultrasound machines, diagnostic X-ray imaging centers, and an internal pharmacy.
Operationally, the hospital is fully registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council and maintains active partnerships with all major private health insurance networks in the region. Backed by strategic equipment financing and structural loans from the Uganda Development Bank (UDB), the facility has successfully scaled its clinical offerings to significantly reduce the need for citizens to seek expensive specialized treatment abroad. Its complete medical portfolio spans internal medicine, urology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, family planning, and dedicated mental health counseling units.
