Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the vacant posts available in Private Wing at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. Applications should be filled in triplicate of PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008) and submitted to Registry Unit on Administration block not later than Thursday 26th September, 2026 by 5:00pm.
Applications should include a Cover letter, copy of the National ID, Curriculum Vitae, Photocopies of Certificates and Academic transcripts and contact information for two professional References. Applicants must state clearly their contact addresses and telephone numbers.

Reports to:Medical Laboratory Technologist

Qualifications:

Diploma in Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Valid registration/ and practicing license with the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council.

Other Requirements:Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Carry out laboratory investigations and submit reports to Clinicians.
b) Servicing and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure functionality
c) Participate in quality assurance for laboratories.
d) Prepare Specimens and reagents according to established procedures.
e) Follow safety measures against hazards.
f) Maintaining an inventory of laboratory equipment
g) Adhere to professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
h) Manage and account for allocated resources.
