Role Overview
Ardenfield CPA is recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our Client in the Hospitality Industry. We are looking for a competent and proactive individual with a minimum of 1 year experience and willing to work night shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including bookkeeping and ledger updates.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare and support tax returns and statutory filings.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes.
- Manage inventory records and maintain accurate stock movements.
- Receive, issue, and reconcile store items while ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory variances.
- Maintain proper storage of office supplies and company assets.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments on procurement and inventory requirements.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders where required. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar accounting and or Accounts Assistant Role.
- Progression in a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
