High Speed Bottling Line Supervisor

Job Detail

Supervise integrated rotary rinsing, filling, capping, labeling, and shrink wrapping operations with end to end accountability for line output.
Provide front line leadership to maintain continuous line balancing, product quality, food hygiene, and operator safety across shifts.
Drive operational stability by promptly identifying line disruptions, managing root cause recovery, and ensuring accurate operational documentation.

Supervise integrated rotary rinsing, filling, capping, labeling, and shrink wrapping operations to meet daily production targets safely and efficiently.
Allocate shift tasks according to operator competence and workload, ensuring critical control points remain fully staffed without unsafe shortcuts.
Conduct structured shift handovers and maintain a visible floor presence to monitor line performance and respond immediately to operational issues.
Respond rapidly to production stoppages, line imbalances, and quality deviations, collaborating with maintenance and support teams to stabilize operations.
Enforce strict adherence to approved standard operating procedures, hygiene rules, machine setting limits, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Investigate root causes of downtime and process deviations, ensuring agreed corrective and preventive actions are executed and recorded.
Compile complete, traceable, and legible shift records, including output tallies, machine parameters, quality test results, and stoppage logs.
Promote cost and resource efficiency by tracking utility consumption and minimizing packaging material, ingredient, and product waste.

Rotary filler line balancing and high speed packaging flow coordination.
Line stoppage reduction and rapid root cause troubleshooting.
Shift output reporting and production log verification.
Operator management, work allocation, and performance coaching.
Proficiency with PLC/HMI production interfaces, digital logs, and reporting systems.

Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, or Operations Management.
Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Recognized UBTEB, TVET, or accredited technical, safety, quality, or supervisory certificates paired with extensive industrial line experience.
Equivalent accredited qualifications in related technical or operational disciplines obtained outside Uganda.
