Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Officer to support our recovery, compliance and corporate legal needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recovery & Enforcement

  • Ensure effective for recovery of assets and enforce our security, while staying within the law.
  • Send demand letters and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • File and manage recovery suits and execution processes.
  • Enforce security over financed motorcycles.
  • Instruct and supervise bailiffs and external counsel.
  • Ensure all recovery practices comply with Ugandan law.

Corporate Legal Advisory

  • Provide legal support to the business and ensure proper governance and compliance.
  • Draft and review MOUs, dealer and vendor contracts.
  • Prepare and review loan and security documents and company policies.
  • Draft board resolutions and minutes.
  • Handle company-secretarial filings with URSB and licence matters with UMRA.
  • Advise management and the Board on legal risks before decisions are taken.
