Job Description

Welder

Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical  Engineering.
  • Possess basic knowledge of welding and metal fabrication.
  • Have basic technical knowledge or technical school training in welding, metalwork or a related mechanical field.
  • Be able to identify commonly used welding tools, equipment and materials.
  • Understand basic workshop safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Be able to communicate basically in English and understand simple technical instructions.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced welders or supervisors.
  • Have basic knowledge of different welding processes, such as Arc Welding (SMAW), MIG and TIG welding.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in basic English.
