Company Description
Agro and More Agribusiness Developers Limited is an impact-driven, youth-led social enterprise based in Uganda. Formally registered on June 11, 2021, the company maintains its main corporate offices on the first floor of the Mukasa Building along the Mpigi-Butambala Road in Mpigi Town. The organization was established to transform the lives of local smallholder farmers by helping them migrate from basic subsistence farming into highly profitable, commercial agriculture.
The enterprise operates a multi-tiered field intervention model centered on eliminating barriers to rural crop yield optimization. Its day-to-day operations are handled by a dedicated team of sales agronomists and field extension officers who work directly with farming cooperatives. To protect smallholders from the widespread risks of counterfeit products, the company secures and supplies authentic, high-quality, and affordable inputs including certified crop seeds, fertilizers, and protective tools directly to rural outposts.
To ensure long-term community resilience, the venture has built a broad network of localized operational nodes across multiple regions of Uganda. The firm manages a physical branch network spanning Central, Eastern, and South Western regions, with localized outlets operating in areas like Kamengo, Isingiro, and the Karamoja sub-region. By offering a digital mobile application and active video channels alongside its physical supply depots, the agribusiness provides door-to-door product delivery, runs diagnostic crop checks, and connects remote farming groups directly to high-paying buyers in urban centers.
The specialized training modules, agricultural inputs, and regional service branches managed by the social enterprise include:
- Enterprise Selection Training: Educates rural farming clusters on selecting high-value, nutrition-dense crops that match regional soil chemistry and optimize household earnings.
- Genuine Farm Inputs Supply: Distributes authentic vegetable seeds, grain varieties, standard fertilizers, and protective crop equipment to eliminate agricultural counterfeits.
- Central Region Hubs: Maintains physical storefronts and field advice offices in Mpigi, Kibibi, Kamengo, Bulo, and Gombe towns.
- Eastern Region Outposts: Operates dedicated field operational branches across the Karamoja sub-region, specifically within Namalu Town in Nakapiripirit and Moroto Town.
- South Western Hub: Drives regional extension support and agricultural product distribution through a main town office in Isingiro.
- Extension Advisory Services: Dispatches trained field agronomists to perform crop inspections, demonstrate modern planting techniques, and track fertilizer performance.
