Additionally, the firm has diversified into food sectors by manufacturing items like Fortune Spaghetti and Fortune Tambi, serving a population of over 50 million consumers across five African countries.
Operationally, the conglomerate drives a vertically integrated agricultural model by managing massive upstream oil palm plantations and processing mills on Bugala Island within Kalangala District. Developed as a key private investment component of the Ugandan Government’s Vegetable Oil Development Project, this initiative supports thousands of local outgrower and smallholder farmers while reducing the nation’s reliance on imported crude vegetable oil. The harvested raw materials are shipped directly to their ultra-modern refining complex in Jinja, which utilizes automated mechanical setups and self-generated biomass turbine electricity to maximize production efficiency.
