Bishop Stuart University (BSU) is a private, non-profit Christian institution of higher learning located in Mbarara City, Western Uganda. Founded in 2002 by the Ankole Diocese of the Church of Uganda, the university is named after Bishop Cyril Stuart, a dedicated educator and missionary. It was granted a university charter by the government of Uganda in 2014, signifying its adherence to high academic standards and its authority to award globally recognized degrees and postgraduate qualifications.
