Company Description

Global Hands of Hope (GHOH) is a Christian, non-profit community development organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty in Uganda. Established as a holistic outreach ministry, the organization focuses on empowering orphans and vulnerable children by addressing the systemic socio-economic hardships that afflict local families. By combining faith-based discipleship with sustainable development models, the group seeks to build resilient communities where children can safely thrive, learn, and grow.
The primary operational hub of the organization is the Suubi Children’s Center, located in Bukeka village, Kayunga District—a rural region in central Uganda historically devastated by poverty and health crises like HIV/AIDS. Under the national leadership of Ronnie and Ritah Nalera, the organization has strategically built up this area, which also borders the Victoria Nile. While the grassroots implementation is heavily concentrated in Kayunga, the organization maintains its main administrative headquarters at Plot 78, Namulondo Road in Bweyogerere, Wakiso District, with newer programmatic reaches extending to other vulnerable regions like Bududa.
A central pillar of the organization’s outreach is the Suubi Christian School, which provides complete primary education, daily hot meals, and Christian discipleship to hundreds of students from Pre-K through the 8th grade. Recognizing that educational success is deeply tied to health and stability, the non-profit also operates the Suubi Medical Clinic on-site. Managed by qualified Ugandan medical practitioners, the clinic serves roughly 400 patients weekly, extending critical primary healthcare, maternal support, and preventative medical camps to a community where clinical access was previously out of reach.
To ensure long-term community transformation, the institution couples its childcare programs with robust food security and adult economic development frameworks. It manages local modern farming initiatives to supply its school food program while offering vocational and business skills training to parents, teenagers, and young adults. The organization frequently collaborates with international stakeholders and local stakeholders to implement these programs, periodically sharing its impacts and field requirements across platforms like the official
