The Hotel and Tourism Training College (HTTC), formerly known as the Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (UHTTI), is a premier government-owned tertiary institution. Established in 1989, the college is mandated to conduct research and provide specialized training in tourism and hospitality management. Operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, the institution officially rebranded to align with the updated Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curriculum. The main campus and its primary training facility are located off Nalufenya Road at the Crested Crane Hotel complex in Jinja City.
The primary mandate of the college focuses on sustainably producing a highly skilled, customer-focused workforce to eliminate local human resource gaps in the African hospitality industry. To achieve this, the curriculum heavily integrates theoretical knowledge with comprehensive hands-on operational training.
