Company Description

Little App Uganda (originally launched in the country as Little Cab or Little Ride) is a major Pan-African digital taxi-hailing and e-mobility platform operating across Uganda. Developed through a strategic partnership between African technology giant Craft Silicon and telecom operator Safaricom, the application expanded its regional footprint into Kampala in May 2018. It has successfully positioned itself as a highly flexible, transparent alternative to legacy ride-hailing platforms like Uber and Bolt, functioning as a localized “super app” that bundles daily mobility, logistics tracking, and enterprise transportation frameworks.
The platform has pioneered specialized corporate mobility dashboards tailored specifically for Ugandan organizations to seamlessly plan, authorize, and audit employee business travel. Through their integrated business models, enterprise clients can access three specialized transit configurations: Little Bodas for time-sensitive cross-city commuting, Corporate Taxis for individual staff transits, and Corporate Shuttles designed for mass group movements. To cater to general commuters and travelers heading to Entebbe International Airport, the app includes the “Little Schedule” feature, which lets riders pre-book and reserve a standard or comfort vehicle up to several days in advance.
The enterprise has aggressively scaled its operations beyond the borders of metropolitan Kampala to capture rapidly urbanizing upcountry hubs. In mid-2026, Little App officially launched its localized networks in Hoima City (the oil hub) and Mbarara City, introducing transparent, unnegotiated algorithmic pricing matrices to western Ugandan transport markets. The company operates its principal customer support and administrative offices within Kampala, maintaining a dedicated regional telephone call center at +256 200 914243 to handle live driver geofencing issues, client account setups, and manual car bookings.
To maintain an edge over rival applications, Little App integrates specialized features such as “Prefer Driver,” which allows returning passengers to systematically choose specific, trusted driver-partners for their commutes. It actively supports the socio-economic empowerment of local transport associations by onboarding traditional cab operators and boda boda riders into formal digital payment ecosystems. Backed by multi-country infrastructure spanning Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and India, the platform’s localized human resource strategy prioritizes building deep data analytics and business partnerships to sustain its long-term East African tech expansion.
