Company Description
MAZIMA was formally registered in March 2018 as a company with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). This marked the beginning of its structured operations and commitment to serving vulnerable populations through legally recognized institutional frameworks in Uganda.
MAZIMA is a child-centred organisation grounded in the principles of equality, human rights, and social justice. Its work prioritises vulnerable children, youth, and young women, based on the conviction that empowering these groups unlocks their potential and contributes directly to long-term socio-economic transformation. By investing in human capability and dignity, the organisation positions empowerment not as charity, but as a development strategy.
Currently, MAZIMA operates in Eastern Uganda, particularly within the Busoga sub-region, which faces persistent socio-economic challenges. Recognising the depth of deprivation in the area, the organisation focuses its interventions where they are most needed, while maintaining a strategic vision to gradually expand its impact to other parts of the country in future phases of growth.
