Their mandate includes overseeing key public institutions like the Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital and numerous government-aided schools to ensure high-quality service delivery for a growing population.
The Mbarara City Service Commission is an independent statutory body established to manage the human resource needs of the city’s public service workforce. Its core responsibility is to recruit, confirm, promote, and exercise disciplinary oversight over all city employees to ensure a competent and ethical administration.
