Company Description

PALM Corps is an indigenous non-governmental organisation established in 2014 and licensed to operate nationally across Uganda. The organisation envisions a world where the poorest and most vulnerable communities live dignified, healthy, peaceful, and productive lives while responsibly stewarding their environment. Its work is particularly grounded in Northern Uganda, where it recognises the resilience and potential embedded within local communities.

PALM Corps is anchored in the belief that communities are not defined by scarcity, but by untapped potential. Across Uganda, communities possess rich indigenous knowledge systems, access to land, and other natural resources that, when effectively harnessed, can sustainably meet their needs. The organisation’s philosophy is that transformation does not begin with external dependency, but with unlocking insight—helping communities reinterpret what they already have as assets for development.

To catalyse this transformation, PALM Corps delivers targeted interventions in the sectors of livelihoods, basic education, public health, and environmental sustainability. Through capacity building, community empowerment, and locally informed programming, the organisation strengthens resilience and enables communities to convert knowledge and resources into measurable social and economic progress.
