University of Saint Joseph Mbarara (USJM) is a private, not-for-profit higher education institution established by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mbarara. Situated on Nyamitanga Hill along the Mbarara–Kikagate Road in Mbarara City South Division, the university operates under the foundational motto of “Foster Integrity.” The institution was envisioned to provide a pastoral and academic response to regional socioeconomic challenges, grounding its modern tertiary learning models in solid human and Christian values.
