Job Description

Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University. Interested persons who meet the minimum requirements should submit 3 sets of applications duly signed together with detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three referees, Academic Certificates and Transcripts, Copies of Appointment letters and 3 recent passport photographs in envelopes addressed to: The Chief Human Resources Management, Bustema University, P.O. Box 236 Tororo / 226 Busia or at the Liaison Office in Mulago School of Nursing & Midwifery near Mulago National Referral Hospital main gate.Deadline for submission of applications is Friday August 21, 2026 at 5:00 pm East African Time.

Requirements
  • An Honor’s Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Having completed at least level two of Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA.
  • Possession of a Post Graduate qualification in Financial Management will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant working experience of not less than three (3) years in financial management or accounting roles at the level of Assistant Accountant from a reputable Organization or Industry.
  • Evidence of computer literacy and competence in Public Sector Accounting Computer Systems is an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: Should not have reached forty (45) years of age by deadline for submission of application.
