Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Audit Manager – DFS

Reports To: Manager ICT & DFS Audit

Job Purpose
  • Responsible for examining the integrity, confidentiality, availability, and compliance of Pearl Bank’s digital financial services, applications, systems, and processes.
  • Reporting findings, highlighting any system deviations, and advising management on corrective or remedial actions.
Key Responsibilities / Key Deliverables
  • Planning, supervising, and executing end-to-end Digital Financial Services audits, including risk assessments, audit testing, and reporting.
  • Exercising due professional care and contributing to the development, implementation, and review of the Internal Audit quality improvement program in line with Global Internal Audit standards.
  • Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to Digital Financial Services systems, applications, and processes.
  • Identifying and assessing risks associated with Digital Financial Services products and services, including digital payments and lending.
  • Developing appropriate audit tests to address identified IT risks and achieve audit objectives.
  • Contributing to the annual Information Systems audit plan/strategy within the master Annual Audit Plan.
  • Leading and developing a team of audit professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders including management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure audit findings are addressed.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks in Digital Financial Services.
  • Preparing timely, high-quality written and oral audit reports with clarity and precision.
  • Reviewing regulatory returns relating to Digital Financial Services.
  • Ensuring all audit work adheres to Internal Audit Methodology, ISACA standards, and Global Internal Audit standards.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Manager DFS & ICT Audits or Chief Internal Auditor.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
  • Professional certification in at least one of: CISA, ISO 27k, CISSP, CRISC, or CISM.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in risk-based audits in IS Audit, IS Risk, IS Security, or Computer Forensics within Digital Financial Services.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of core information systems domains including Networks and Databases (Oracle, MS SQL).
  • Knowledge of IDEA Analytics and/or TeamMate Audit Systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and high professional integrity.
