Job Description

Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University. Box 236 Tororo / 226 Busia or at the Liaison Office in Mulago School of Nursing & Midwifery near Mulago National Referral Hospital main gate.Deadline for submission of applications is Friday August 21, 2026 at 5:00 pm East African Time.
Associate Professor – Anesthesia

Salary Scale: PU4

Requirements
  • PhD or Masters of Medicine degree in Anesthesiology from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Nursing Science from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Six (6) years of University teaching experience or relevant working experience in a reputable Organization or Industry.
  • Ten (10) recognized publications in the area of specialization, four (4) of which as the First/ Corresponding/ Senior author.
  • Supervision of three (3) Graduate students (Masters or PhD).
  • Evidence of contribution to Community.
