Affiliate, with multi-cultural organization and multiple interfaces, in transition from Exploration and Appraisal into development with activities in EA-1 and EA-1A blocks in Uganda. The job holder is responsible identifying and eliminating safety risks as well as driving and implementing policies, procedures and best practices throughout the Company (local/international/Company Health, Safety and Environmental standards and regulations as ISO, OGP, OSHA, PEPD etc.). Responsibilities include creating and implementing health and safety procedures and giving regular progress reports to the HSE management team Activities of the Company involve hundreds of employees, families, contractors and stakeholders as well as transportation in a wildlife area, river shuttles and associated activities. Activities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Job holder is supporting the TEPU HSSE&I Director through the following missions;
- Deputize in HSE, Security and Technical Integrity disciplines (HSSE&I), validating technical recommendations and anticipating legal requirements for the domain,
- Leading multi-disciplinary and transverse teams covering HSSE&I Operations in Project, Social, Biodiversity, Medical and Support activities.
- Support the HSSE&I director in interfacing with the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) for all subjects related to HSSE&I,
- Supporting the Sustainability Officer of the company who is part of HSSE&I Team,
- Fully engage in the CFR (Carbon Footprint Reduction) program of the company to minimize impacts to Environment,
- S/He will deputize in leading 5 disciplines (HSE Methods, Operational Safety, Environment, Security and Major Risks and Technical Integrity with around 40 positions.
Liaise on behalf of the HSSE&I in;
- OBO follow up with JV partners on HSSE&I issues: Kingfisher (CNOOC operated, 1.5B$), EACOP (4.5B$)
- Security: TEPU/HSSE/Security team coordinates the activities of 400 private security guards, 250 Police and Army operators and 75 Wildlife guards, to ensure the Security of the POB mobilized for Tilenga and other Company Affiliates (OTOC) in Uganda (Marketing,
Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or equivalent level
- Graduate engineer diploma (Chemistry or Mechanical engineering) or equivalent,
- Professional experience: 20 years minimum experience in Oil and Gas operations, Strong knowledge of O&G
- standards and HSSE&I management systems, Communication abilities to pass HSSE&I messages to teams, Capability to adapt to different environments and types of operations, Management skills to address directly or in a transverse mode.
