Job Description

Diesel  Engine Maintenance Assistant

• Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical  Engineering.
  • Minimum of a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or any other related technical field.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel  engines, engine components and their functions.
  • Ability to identify and use basic mechanical hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Basic understanding of diesel engine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacement and cleaning.
  • Ability to assist in routine engine inspections and preventive maintenance activities under supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of engine lubrication, cooling and fuel systems.
  • Ability to identify visible engine defects, leaks, unusual noises and other abnormalities and report them to the supervisor.
  • Ability to follow maintenance instructions, safety procedures and work permits.
  • Basic understanding of oil and gas workshop safety, PPE
  • requirements and housekeeping.
  • Basic English communication skills and ability to work in a team.
