Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the underlisted vacant posts that exist in the service of Luwero District Local Government on a replacement basis. Applications are to be submitted in triplicate on PS Form 3 (Revised 2008) and ESC Form 3 (1998) Revised for Teachers only, to the Secretary, District Service Commission, P.O. Box 78, Luwero, to reach him not later than Friday, 13th November 2026 at 12:00 noon.

Applications should be accompanied by three recent passport-size photographs of the applicants, photocopies of O’ and A’ Level certificates, certified copies of academic transcripts, certificates, appointments and confirmation letters for serving officers, valid certified Practicing License, Registration Certificates for Health Workers and other relevant supporting documents. National Identity Card with consistent names as those on the academic documents is a MUST.

Application forms can be obtained from Luwero District Service Commission offices or Public Service Commission offices, 2nd Floor, Farmers House, Parliamentary Avenue, Kampala.

Serving officers should route their application forms through Responsible Officers (Accounting Officers), who should be informed of the closing date

Job Title: Enrolled Nurse

Job Purpose

To provide nursing care and treatment to patients in the health unit.

Key Functions

i. Receiving and registering patients.

ii. Providing nursing care and treatment to patients.

iii. Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for patients.

iv. Preparing patients for treatment and assisting in medical procedures.

v. Administering prescribed medicines and treatments.

vi. Educating patients and their attendants on health matters.

vii. Maintaining records and preparing reports on nursing activities.

viii. Managing and accounting for allocated resources.

Person Specifications

Qualifications

Must possess an Enrolled Nursing Certificate from a recognised training institution and be registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
