JOB DESCRIPTION – General Worker-Net Making
Reports to: Net Making Supervisor

Job Overview
Responsible for Cutting, splicing ropes, fixing and joining Nets.
KEY DUTIES
- Splice ropes according to instructions given by the supervisor.
- Measuring and cutting ropes accurately to the specified lengths.
- Fix and join nets in line with the supervisor’s instructions.
- Assembling of mooring lines with anchors.
- Participating in anchor dropping in the Lake.
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a neat and tidy workplace.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Supervisor / Line Manager.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education.
- Knowledge in Swimming and Rescue skills.

- Good communication skills including reading and writing skills
- Good in Basic Mathematics
- Physical strength and stamina
- The ability to get along well with co-workers
- The ability to keep up to date with changing technology
- Creativity
- The ability to do precision work
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

- Hardworking, capable of being involved in farming operations
