Job Description

To work with the Business Analyst to ensure successful implementation and support of business solutions and transformation programmes. This role determines and documents business requirements, design & implements solutions to meet business requirements.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and documentation of business needs, requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Assist Business Analysts in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.
  • Participate in meetings with business users to understand business processes and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Help document functional and non-functional requirements, business process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.
  • Support the review and analysis of proposed business and system changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and assist in documenting proposed solutions.
  • Assist in coordinating communication between business users, project teams, vendors, and ICT teams.
  • Support the preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing test scenarios, test cases, and recording test results.
  • Assist in tracking and resolving defects identified during system testing.
  • Support system implementation activities, including user readiness and deployment support.
  • Prepare user guides, standard operating procedures, and other system documentation.
  • Assist in training end users on new or enhanced systems and business processes.
  • Provide first-level business systems support by logging, analyzing, and following up on user issues and enhancement requests.
  • Monitor assigned support tickets and escalate complex issues to senior Business Analysts or relevant technical teams.
  • Assist in monitoring system performance and gathering user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, AML, KYC, Sanctions, and data quality standards by following established procedures and escalating identified issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing business efficiency through technology.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, requirements traceability, and status reports.
  • Support project activities to help deliver solutions within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of business processes, ICT solutions, business analysis methodologies, and industry best practices.

 

ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING (AML) EXPECTATION

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adherence to, implementation of, and adoption of Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Sanctions-related policies, procedures, and process requirements within Old Mutual and its subsidiaries. This includes execution of customer due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) standards, conducting ongoing and enhanced due diligence, and maintaining data quality. Additionally, the role involves identifying and monitoring potential AML, Sanctions, or Compliance breaches and unusual activities, and escalating these concerns to the Risk and Compliance Office for further action

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Certification in at least one area of applications development
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business analysis/software development.
  • At least a working knowledge of Databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • At least 2 years’ experience in business systems project related assignments
