Job Description

Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University. Lecturer – Marine Engineering

Requirements
  • Evidence of full admission for a PhD in the area of specialization from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Master of Science degree in Marine Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • First Class or Second-class Upper division Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Three (3) years of University teaching experience or relevant working experience in a reputable Organization or Industry.
  • A valid STCW Certificate of Competency (preferably Class I, II or III Marine Engineer Officer) or equivalent maritime engineering certification is an added advantage.
  • Registration with a recognized Professional Engineering body is desirable.
  • Evidence of contribution to Community.
  • Possession of a PhD in the area of Specialization is an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: Should not have reached fifty (50) years of age by deadline for submission of application.
