Job Description

Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University. Interested persons who meet the minimum requirements should submit 3 sets of applications duly signed together with detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three referees, Academic Certificates and Transcripts, Copies of Appointment letters and 3 recent passport photographs in envelopes addressed to: The Chief Human Resources Management, Bustema University, P.O. Box 236 Tororo / 226 Busia or at the Liaison Office in Mulago School of Nursing & Midwifery near Mulago National Referral Hospital main gate.

Deadline for submission of applications is Friday August 21, 2026 at 5:00 pm East African Time.

Requirements
  • Evidence of full admission for a PhD in the area of specialization from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree with specialization in Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • First Class or Second Class Upper division Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning.
  • Three (3) years of University teaching experience or relevant working experience in a reputable Organization or Industry.
  • Evidence of contribution to Community.
  • Possession of a PhD in the area of Specialization is an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: Should not have reached fifty (50) years of age by deadline for submission of application.
