WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents
- Manage litigation, disputes and alternative dispute resolution
- Supervise and develop the legal team
- Support Board and corporate governance activities
- Liaise with government agencies, regulators and external counsel
- Identify legal risks and advise on mitigation strategies
- Ensure statutory filings and regulatory approvals are up to date
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- LLB Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice
- Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with valid Practicing Certificate 5-8 years’ post-enrollment experience (2-3 years in supervisory role)
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan laws and regulatory frameworks Experience in corporate law, contracts, litigation & compliance
- Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
- Valid driving permit and willingness to travel
