About the Job

The Manager Solution Quality Assurance & DevOps will establish and lead a unified function responsible for ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and efficient delivery of digital solutions.

The role will oversee the full software delivery lifecycle, from code development through production deployment, while integrating quality and security directly into the development process through a Shift-Left approach.

The successful candidate will lead Quality Assurance and DevOps teams, establish robust CI/CD pipelines, strengthen software security, and ensure that digital solutions are resilient, secure, reliable, and meet required standards before reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated Quality Assurance and DevOps strategy aligned with rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.
• Define and govern quality gates, security checks, and deployment pipelines across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Promote a “Quality as a Culture” mindset across engineering and business analysis teams.
• Lead the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies.
• Oversee manual, automated, performance, and regression testing for front-end and back-end systems.
• Integrate security testing directly into CI/CD pipelines through DevSecOps practices.
• Oversee SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning to identify and address vulnerabilities early.
• Establish and enforce code quality standards through static code analysis, peer reviews, and quality metrics.
• Promote maintainable code and reduction of technical debt.
• Own and continuously optimize the SDLC process.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with software quality, security, and production deployment.
• Own and optimize the end-to-end CI/CD pipeline using GitLab CI/CD, from code commit through production deployment.
• Ensure delivery pipelines provide speed, reliability, and security.
• Oversee the Bank’s hybrid infrastructure environment, including Windows and Linux systems.
• Manage infrastructure operating within virtualized environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Oversee containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage development, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure consistency, reproducibility, and cost-effectiveness across environments.
• Manage and mentor two specialized teams comprising QA Engineers, including automation and security specialists, and DevOps Engineers.
• Act as the key liaison between engineering teams and other units, including IT Operations, CISO Office, and Risk.
• Ensure technology activities comply with Bank-wide policies and standards.
• Provide clear visibility into quality metrics, security posture, and deployment status to the Head of Innovation and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate, select, and manage QA and DevOps technology toolchains.
• Utilize and manage appropriate QA tools such as Tenjin, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, and OWASP ZAP.
• Utilize and manage DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Drive automation of repetitive processes, including testing, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment.
• Maximize operational efficiency and minimize human error through automation.
• Promote continuous improvement through blameless post-mortems and iterative improvement of processes and tools.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience across Software Engineering, DevOps, and/or Quality Assurance roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
• Mandatory experience in financial services or another heavily regulated industry.
• Deep understanding of IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Experience working in hybrid Windows/Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and Rest-Assured.
• Experience with security testing tools and methodologies, including SAST, DAST, and SCA.
• Knowledge of OWASP principles.
• Strong understanding of software quality, security, deployment, and operational processes.
