Job Description
The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act. UEDCL owns the 33KV and below voltage electricity distribution networks. The company sales and distributes electricity in Uganda as per ERA License issued on 31 December 2024 covering over 135 political districts, operates a modern pole plant at Lugogo, and executes key rural electrification schemes on behalf of the Government of Uganda.
Responsibilities or duties
Key Result Areas
- Support and coordinate the implementation of brand and marketing strategies.
- Organize and coordinate marketing activities and events to raise brand visibility and awareness.
- Execute advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services in line with the approved marketing plan.
- Vet and coordinate CSR initiatives in line with the company’s CSR agenda.
- Coordinate Corporate sponsorships and other promotional activities.
- Coordinate key company events to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop content and coordinate production of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.
- Conduct periodic and targeted market research in line with established guidelines.
- Monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Prepare and submit reports on marketing campaigns and related activities.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP.
- Excellent organizational, planning and multi- tasking skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High levels of creativity and commercial awareness.
- Self-driven, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and decision- making skills.
- A team player with a customer-oriented approach.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset focused on delivering value to the organization.
Experience needed
Experience:
- At least four (4) years of experience in developing and implementing marketing programs.
