Job Purpose
To provide technical leadership in the administrative and logistical activities of the UVTAB.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Providing technical guidance in the day-to-day administrative support services to all Departments or Units, including logistics, management of the Estates, and provision of office supplies.

Participating in the preparation of budgets and responding to audit queries.

Compiling the Board’s progress reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
-
Ensuring general compliance with hygiene and security at UVTAB Secretariat offices.
-
Appraising and evaluating inventory of real property and equipment through maintenance of an Asset Register and advising management on relevant actions.

Providing technical guidance in the development and implementation of UVTAB policy documents.
-
Providing technical guidance in organizing workshops and conferences.
-
Coordinating and maintaining records of utility bills.
-
Supervising the maintenance of all UVTAB assets, equipment, and office utilities.

Providing secretarial services for top management meetings.
-
Ensuring proper management of the fleet.
Person Specifications
a) Qualifications
-
An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Arts, Public Administration, Development Studies, or Law from a recognized university.
-
A Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Management Sciences, or Humanities from a recognized university or institution.
-
A Certificate in Administrative Officer’s Law Course from the Law Development Centre.
b) Experience
At least six (6) years of relevant working experience in an administrative role or field, with three (3) years at a senior officer level in a reputable organization.
