Job Description

Job Title: Regional Manager / Cluster Head
Location: Uganda
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Retail & Operations Head

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading player in Uganda’s automotive and mobility sector, with a strong presence in the motorcycle market. The organization specializes in the distribution and retail of motorcycles, genuine spare parts, after-sales services, and local motorcycle assembly, supported by a growing branch and distribution network across Uganda.

Position Summary:
The Regional Manager / Cluster Head will have full accountability for the performance and sales growth of the assigned region, overseeing multiple branches and driving the achievement of regional commercial targets. The role will also be responsible for identifying and developing new dealers, business opportunities, market openings, and partnerships within the region.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Own the region’s full accountability and sales-growth number across all assigned branches.
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans in line with overall business targets and market opportunities.
  • Set branch-level targets and closely monitor performance against agreed sales and operational KPIs.
  • Continuously travel the branch circuit and maintain a strong physical presence across the region rather than being desk-bound.
  • Conduct regular branch visits to assess performance, identify challenges, and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Find, develop, and manage dealers, new business opportunities, and market openings within the region.
  • Identify underserved markets and potential locations for business expansion and new branch or dealer opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, local business partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure every branch operates according to predefined SOPs, including standards, stock management, cash controls, documentation, and customer experience.
  • Monitor branch stock levels and ensure appropriate product availability to support sales and minimize stock-outs.
  • Manage all ground-level initiatives, activations, promotions, and field programs within the region.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure effective execution of regional marketing campaigns, activations, and promotional activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in regional / area sales, territory management, distribution, or multi-outlet field management.
  • Proven experience managing sales performance across multiple branches, outlets, territories, or dealers.
  • Strong track record in target delivery, sales growth, dealer development, and market expansion.
  • Experience in automotive, motorcycles, FMCG, consumer durables, distribution, or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of field sales, territory management, dealer networks, and customer acquisition.
  • Willingness and ability to travel constantly across the assigned region and maintain a strong field presence.
