Job Description
Reporting Line in Organization
- Smart Room Leader
Activities
HSEQ Responsibilities
- Support and implement the HSEQ Management System including plans, procedures and specifications.
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding HSEQ rules and requirements, Company Ethics and Code of Conduct policy.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure HSE standards of Contractors involved in activities comply with TotalEnergies rules and referential.
- Promote and enforce rigorous application of TotalEnergies Golden Rules in all activities.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Provide specialist technical and engineering advice to site personnel on operation and maintenance of plant and equipment while ensuring the highest safety standards and minimal operational disruption.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance activities within the Smart Room and ensure effective liaison to support current and upcoming site activities.
- Provide direct technical support to site maintenance personnel.
- Provide work direction and technical guidance by:
- Checking project and work progress
- Identifying required resources
- Setting priorities
- Establishing time schedules
- Ensure planned maintenance look-ahead activities are reviewed and prepared.
- Balance available site resources with forthcoming monthly Preventive Maintenance activities.
- Set up and manage the monthly Preventive Maintenance Review process.
- Act as the main interface for the Site Head of Maintenance to support critical activities.
- Provide initial breakdown support and guidance during:
- Fault finding
- Repair methodology
- Vendor requirements
- Materials availability
- Review status of offline plant and equipment to ensure availability and serviceability of standby equipment.
- Track, report and prevent maintenance-related production losses.
- Analyse maintenance backlog activities.
- Provide feedback on contractor performance.
- Identify work that can be executed in campaign-type approaches during critical equipment shutdowns in coordination with the Maintenance Planner.
- Advise on shutdown reports from a maintenance perspective and ensure required actions are completed.
Coordination & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with Tier 2 and discipline managers for technical and contractual support.
- Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance using digital tools.
- Provide feedback to Line Management and identify opportunities to:
- Maximize production
- Improve equipment performance
- Share best practices
- Continuously provide insights into asset health monitoring by:
- Collecting important performance data
- Contextualizing asset failure data
- Predicting potential failures
- Improving production and plant availability
- Continuously optimize failure thresholds of running equipment using SMART Room dashboard data to align real-time monitoring with actual site conditions.
- Act as a key contributor to:
- Two Weeks Look Ahead Planning (2WLAP)
- Integrated campaigns alongside the Smart Room Planner
- Follow up and report on all Safety Critical Elements performance on site.
- Prepare and release weekly safety outlook reports and presentations.
- Maintain strong working relationships with site personnel through:
- Effective communication
- Regular site visits
- Build constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Identify opportunities to:
- Improve contractor and supplier performance
- Reduce costs
- Improve quality of services and products
- Participate in regular meetings regarding plant equipment condition including:
- Daily morning calls
- Weekly follow-up meetings
- Monthly performance group meetings
Context and Environment
- There is no equivalent project of such industrial drilling magnitude in a remote and sensitive area within the Company today.
- The Tilenga field is a Green Field Project located near Lake Albert in Uganda with particularly sensitive environmental conditions.
- The project involves:
- Heavy and waxy oil production
- Thirty-one (31) drilling pads
- Some pads located within a national park
- A Production Center with:
- 200,000 bopd oil capacity
- 650,000 b/d water treatment capacity
- Reservoir pressure maintenance will be achieved through:
- Water injection
- Polymer water injection depending on reservoir characteristics
- The project includes an extended interconnecting network with temperature preservation systems.
- Multicultural working environment with contractors from different parts of the world.
- Ugandan regulations, technical authorizations and international onshore plant codes apply.
Accountabilities
- Improve maintenance equipment reliability.
- Manage failure reporting and investigations.
- Provide engineering documentation and technical support.
- Ensure equipment availability with accountability for turbo machine running plan implementation and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Equivalent Engineering discipline
Experience
- Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ experience in oil and gas process or operations with strong understanding of operational site activities.
- Good knowledge of onshore process and production systems.
- Experience in collaborative working environments is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to propose innovative and practical solutions.
- Strong communication and interface management skills for effective transversal working.
- Strong reliability-centered maintenance attitude.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
