Role Summary
The Specialist Physician will provide expert diagnostic and non-surgical treatment services for a wide range of complex medical conditions affecting adults. This includes managing chronic metabolic, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
    • Diagnose and manage complex, multi-system adult medical conditions.
    • Design and implement long-term treatment plans for chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, infectious diseases).
    • Interpret specialized diagnostic tests, laboratory workups, and medical imaging.
    • Provide wellness and preventative care counseling to adult patients.
    • Lead clinical reviews and mentor junior medical officers and nursing staff.
    • Maintain accurate, structured documentation within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Master of Medicine (MMed) in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Licensure: Active registration and valid practicing license from the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience managing a diverse adult caseload in a recognized facility.
