Job Description

 Position SPEECH THERAPIST, College of Health Sciences
 Closing Date 2026-05-04
 Reporting To Principal
 Key Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Identify diagnose specific SLT cases/children;
  2. Review, clerk and administer specialized assessments and diagnostics to specific cases in children;
  3. Teach, examine and grade students;
  4. Supervise research for students;
  5. Mentor junior staff;
  6. Conduct research and community outreach activities;
  7. Write proposals for attracting funding to the department;
  8. Perform specific SLT service delivery according to set standard and quality;
  9. Act as a clinical advisor to the multidisciplinary team involving specialists;
  10. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
 Required Qualifications              i.        Masters of Science in Speech and Language Therapy or Master of Science in Development, Disorders and Clinical practice or Master of Science in Speech difficulties or Master of Science in Acquired communication disorders or Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice or Master of Science in Swallowing Disorders or Master of Science Learning Disabilities.

ii.        At least an upper second Honours Bachelor’s degree of Science in Speech and Language Therapy.
 Tenure of Appointment 4-year contract
 Age Limit APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FORTY (40) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION
