Job Description
Post: Senior Assessment Officer – Test Development & Moderation (Nursing & Midwifery) – 1 Post
Reference: UHPAB/HRM/SAO/005/26
Scale: UHPAB 4
Reports to: Principal Assessment Officer
Job Purpose
To mobilize test items, prepare examination materials, and support marking processes for Nursing and Midwifery assessments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor test item setting and filing
- Supervise examination packaging and labeling
- Ensure secure handling of exams
- Administer oath of secrecy
- Build capacity of examination teams
- Verify examination materials and scripts
- Liaise with IT on student registrations
- Supervise data entry for item analysis
- Ensure safe storage and distribution of exams

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the vacant posts tenable at the Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board.

Deadline: Not later than 5:00 pm on 20th May, 2026.

- Attach one (1) recent coloured passport size photograph on each form
- Attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae

- Evidence of training and practice in specialized areas where applicable
- Letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion where applicable
- National and Current Institutional Identity Cards
- Priority should be given to only the relevant academic documents in the job specifications
- All applicants will have the opportunity to present additional relevant qualifications
